Buster's First Day at Work

I am very fortunate to be able to bring my dogs to work with me every day. In fact, if it weren't for that incredible privilege, I don't think I would have gotten another dog. This is what went down at Buster's first day of work. Buster is the dog with more white on him and Riley is the one making all the noise.

Today they are being a bit more lazy and taking frequent naps. What good dogs!

The Waiting Game

We are anxiously waiting to hear whether we get to bring this cute young lad home.

I think about him lying alone in that cold kennel and it breaks my heart. We met him for the first time last Thursday and filed our adoption papers the next morning. He's such a lover. After wrestling with Riley for a bit, he covered her in kisses. I know they will be great friends. I'm not good at waiting.

Big Lots = Big Savings

I love Big Lots! I'm in their Buzz Club Rewards Program which rewards you with 20% off your entire purchase after spending at least $20 during 10 separate visits. That sounds confusing but as long as you have your key tag swiped at the register, the computer keeps track of everything for you.

Yesterday I went on my 20% off shopping spree and literally filled my cart to the brim. Big Lots always has great deals on organic food like pasta, sauce, and canned veggies and they stock a certain type of granola bars that my husband loves. I felt a little silly pushing my cart up to the register with SO many boxes of granola bars but I know that he'll eventually eat them so why not stock up? The bars are less than half the price at regular grocery stores.

This photo cracks me up. My receipt was almost as tall as me!
