Utah Vacation: Capitol Reef National Park

Back in October Christian and I ran away for two weeks of adventure in the gorgeous state of Utah. I'd like to share some highlights from that trip because it really is a beautiful place.

In order to get from Goblin Valley State Park to Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument we had to drive right through Capitol Reef National Park. The golden cottonwood trees and towering red cliffs where breathtaking. We stopped at a roadside pullout and got to see some ancient petroglyphs.

We only had enough time in Capitol Reef for a picnic and a quick stop at Goosenecks Overlook where we could see Sulphur Creek flowing through the deep canyon below.

Up next on our trip: exploring two slot canyons in Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument.
