Utah Vacation: Willis Creek

Back in October Christian and I ran away for two weeks of adventure in the gorgeous state of Utah. I'd like to share some highlights from that trip because it really is a beautiful place.

After our failed attempt to get down Bull Valley Gorge, we found a wilderness campsite close to Willis Creek slot canyon. What a chilly night - temps were close to 30 degrees fahrenheit!

Since we camped so close by we were able to set off down the creek early in the morning before other people arrived.

Check out this huge tree we saw in the canyon!

In no time, the creek dropped and the walls rose above us and we were in some pretty narrows.

One great thing about hiking in the morning: amazing light!

Willis Creek is a very accessible, easy slot canyon to get into. While the creek flows through it, the water was never deep enough to get your feet wet.

Up next on our trip: Bryce Canyon National Park.

OMG. I LOVE hiking gorges! This looks like heaven. I've just pinned it so that I can find it again and then read up on the park.
